
Abu Dhabi's accountability institution needed a brand that conveyed authority, transparency, and institutional maturity — credible to government partners, meaningful to employees, and aligned to a mandate to safeguard public funds across the emirate.



The Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority was established as an independent body responsible for safeguarding public funds and ensuring ethical governance across Abu Dhabi's public and private sectors. Despite a mission of significant institutional weight, the organisation lacked a brand that matched its authority or clearly communicated its purpose. A comprehensive brand transformation was needed — one that expressed trustworthiness, integrity, and accountability in equal measure, and that could work across employee communications, physical environments, and public-facing contexts simultaneously.

Jpd began with deep organisational research, engaging leadership and teams across the authority to understand its values, mandate, and audiences. A brand strategy was developed that positioned ADAA clearly within Abu Dhabi's governance landscape. The strategy informed a tone of voice built around trustworthiness, authority, and integrity. A visual identity system was designed to reflect institutional credibility, supported by comprehensive brand guidelines. Brand environments were created for multiple physical locations across Abu Dhabi — offices and conference settings. An employee engagement programme was developed to build internal pride and genuine alignment with the organisation's mission.










Following the brand transformation, ADAA's new applicant rates increased by thirty percent within two quarters, sustaining the momentum of its Emiratisation programme. The authority was recognised by ACCA as an approved learning partner in support of local talent development across the region. ADAA subsequently partnered with ADGMA to provide training and placements for more than ninety Emiratis in accounting and advisory roles. The brand transformation was recognised at the Transform Awards MEA with a Silver Award for Best International Communications during a Brand Development Project.
